DESCRIPTION:  \nDine Out for People with Disabilities is BACK\nEnjoy breakfast\, brunch\, or lunch and support the mission.\nThursday\, March 20\, 2025\n7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nOriginal Pancake House – 7395 Lee Hwy\, Falls Church \nOnce again our wonderful partners at The Original Pancake House in Falls Church will host Dine Out for People with Disabilities.  We love THIS pancake house for the good food and commitment to community service you’ve come to know and appreciate. \n15% of proceeds for the entire day will be donated to The Arc of Northern Virginia!  So take your family out for breakfast\, invite your friends and coworkers to lunch\, or order online and take out a great meal.  Any way you choose\, you’ll get good food and support our mission all at the same time. \nOnline orders must be through the restaurant’s website and not a third-party platform.

DESCRIPTION:  \nTHIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED.\n\nWhich students qualify for Extended School Year (ESY) services and what is the process for determining who qualifies?  In this session we will clear up any confusion about the criteria for determining ESY eligibility\, what typical ESY schedules and environments may look like\, and learn what questions to ask in an IEP meeting when you believe your child is entitled to ESY.\nLiz Capone\, M.S. is an advocate\, expert witness\, and former Special Education teacher of 21 years\, also having been an IEP Coordinator and Special Education Team Leader. With 21 years of Special Education teaching experience\, she has taught at all grade levels from PreK-12.
