Attendees will have the opportunity to: \n\nSign up for free profiles 911 and 988 operators can see during a call to help them understand how to support the residents\nGain practical tips for safe and positive interactions with police and first responders\nParticipate in interactive demonstrations with county public safety professionals\nPick up a free Blue Envelope to help disclose a disability during a traffic stop or emergency\n\nWhy this matters:\nPeople with disabilities experience violent victimization at nearly four times the rate of people without disabilities\, according to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics. Research also shows that a significant portion of challenging police incidents involve individuals with disabilities.
