March is National Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

March is “Inclusion of People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month”, and its goal is to educate the public that people with developmental disabilities can be vital and vibrant members of their community. The Arc of Northern Virginia represents 34,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families seeking full access to education, housing, employment, and recreational activities.

There are a number of ways that you can help raise awareness about the needs of people with disabilities. March also is filled with wonderful opportunities to help raise important funds to further the programs, services, and advocacy of The Arc of Northern Virginia.
