The Arc of Northern Virginia represents and serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)—such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and rare chromosomal disorders—of all ages and their families.

In recognition of October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month, The Arc of Northern Virginia is proud to recognize companies that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to providing employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We invited families, companies, job coaches and disability service providers to nominate these important employers for this award. All nominees employ people with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Fairfax County, Arlington County, City of Falls Church, City of Fairfax, or City of Alexandria.

We are pleased to announce the honorees for 2024:

Booz Allen Hamilton
Dude’s Dog House & Spa
Tysons Corner Marriott
Weird Brothers Coffee

We are grateful to all companies that provide essential employment opportunities for people with IDD.  All of this year’s nominees are deserving of recognition:

Cameron’s Coffee & Chocolates

E-Tron Systems, Inc.
Inova Fairfax Medical Campus
Jake’s Ice Cream and Jake’s Gourmet Popcorn

All nominees will be recognized at The Arc of Northern Virginia’s “Illuminating Inclusion” Gala on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
