Each summer, the Tech for Independent Living team is excited to host multiple Camp Arc2Independence sessions! Campers enjoy fun activities, connect with others, and strengthen their independence skills — all with support from the Arc2Independence app. Created by The Arc of Northern Virginia’s Tech for Independent Living team, the app empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to engage more fully in their communities.
The Arc’s Wings for All program gives families of children with disabilities and aviation professionals the confidence to take to the skies with ease by providing a full airport “rehearsal,” including checking in, going through TSA, finding your gate, and boarding the plane. The Arc of Northern Virginia is hosting Wings for All this fall in collaboration with Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, and United Airlines.
