Position: Community & Client Relations Specialist
Reports to: Director of Trusts
Department: Special Needs Trust
Employment Type: Full time (in office, Monday-Friday from 9a-4:30pm with the possibility of occasional remote work)
Compensation: Starting at $50,000
Job Overview: The Community and Client Relations Specialist will play a crucial role in promoting our department’s services and establishing strong relationships with new clients and our community. This position will involve developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new clients while dedicating a portion of time to assist new clients in acclimating to the service we provide surrounding trust administration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Services:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote department services.
- Identify and target potential clients to achieve a monthly goal of acquiring a set number of new clients.
- Collaborate with our Communications department to promote digital marketing, social media, and community outreach to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Create promotional materials, including brochures, social media content, and advertisements.
- Promote consistent messaging and branding across all marketing efforts.
- Monitor and analyze marketing initiatives to assess effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments.
Client Acclimation Support:
- Conduct initial meetings post-establishment of an account with new clients to develop rapport and provide a comprehensive onboarding on how to navigate our program
- Distribute welcome packets and ensure clients have access to all necessary information and resources.
- Guide clients through the first steps once an account is created such as developing a trust plan and ensuring clarity on processes and procedures.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address questions and provide support as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure client needs are met
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekly department team meetings
- Participate in monthly chapter All-Staff meetings
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a service-oriented environment.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
Special Requirements:
- The candidate selected for this position will be required to complete a Child Protective Services Registry and a Criminal Background Check to the satisfaction of The Arc of Northern Virginia
