The mission of Autism Education Solutions is to maximize the potential of all children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. They offer Social Skill Play and Leisure Groups, which are set up in the natural environment of a home or other mutually agreed upon space, and usually consist of a child with special needs and two typically developing peer models. Parents are encouraged to form the playgroups; Autism Educational Solutions can assist with networking as needed.

“Conversation Skills is a speech therapy practice located in Oakton, VA specializing in improving the social skills of adult clients. We are one of the few providers in the state of Virginia to offer the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) for Young Adults. PEERS® for Young Adults (Ages 18-35) is a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults, who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and develop romantic relationships. During each group session, young adults are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills. Young adults and social coaches (i.e., parent, family member, adult sibling, life coach, job coach, peer mentor, etc.) attend separate 90 minute sessions weekly. Social coaches are taught how to assist young adults in making and keeping friends by providing feedback during weekly socialization homework assignments. Classes are held in the fall and spring. Please contact our office for availability.”
We are a nonprofit dedicated to serving students with developmental disabilities and the communities around them. We focus on a dangerously underfunded need: social skills development. Our award-winning Marvin’s Club program serves public and private schools in providing social skills clubs that focus on building students’ self awareness, in a recreational, unstructured environment. Our organization works to equip school staff with tools necessary for implementing social skills curricula into the programs and throughout the school day.
Starfish Savers staff serves a wide variety of clients with disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder (with or without hyperactivity), Learning Disorders, Developmental Delays and other mental health challenges. Most of our clients have co-existing disorders, which means our clients usually need a team collaborating to find solutions. We provide services to people of all ages and are always ready to work with any team of professionals towards a common goal. Our services are client-centered, meaning we focus on our client’s goals and dreams while slowly helping them achieve independence.
