Commitment to Employment of Persons with Disabilities Awards

The Arc of Northern Virginia is grateful to all Northern Virginia-area companies that provide essential employment opportunities for people with IDD, and they invite individuals and companies to nominate these important employers for this award. Nominees should employ people with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Fairfax County, Arlington County, City of Falls Church or City of Alexandria.

Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominations can be made by the employer, job coach or disability service provider, or parent/family of the employee with IDD. Nominations are due by July 31, and honorees will be announced on August 7. All nominees will be recognized at The Arc of Northern Virginia’s “Independence Belongs to Everyone” Gala on Saturday, November 7, 2026. (There is no obligation to purchase a Gala ticket to be nominated).
