Fairfax County public safety agencies, in collaboration with the Arc of Northern Virginia and the Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, are partnering to host the Fairfax County Unified Response Day: Bridging First Responders and All Abilities—a unique event designed to promote safety, confidence, and preparedness for individuals with disabilities and access and functional needs.
This hands-on, interactive experience gives individuals with disabilities and their families the opportunity to engage with first responders in a safe, low-pressure setting. Participants will practice real-world scenarios like traffic stops, car accidents, medical emergencies, and fire rescues, helping both community members and first responders better understand and support each other.
