The Virginia Ability Alliance is a coalition of not-for-profit organizations representing people with disabilities in Virginia. The VAA advocates for community opportunities for people with disabilities, and supports investments of state, local, and private resources in building access to the community in all settings. Our members include The Arc of Northern Virginia, the Autism Society of Northern Virginia, the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia, and many others. As 501(c)3 organizations, the VAA members are not advocates for any political party; simply advocates for educated and active civic engagement.
The VAA meets every second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 at the offices of The Arc of Northern Virginia. If you would like to join the group or attend a meeting please contact Lucy Beadnell, Director of Advocacy, for more information and availability.
