This summer, the Tech for Independent Living team is excited to host multiple Camp Arc2Independence sessions! Campers will enjoy fun activities, connect with others, and strengthen their independence skills — all with support from the Arc2Independence app. Created by The Arc of Northern Virginia’s Tech for Independent Living team, the app empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to engage more fully in their communities.
At camp, participants will receive hands-on training with the app and explore a variety of virtual lessons on transportation, employment, safety, and daily living skills.
Past campers have shared glowing feedback:

“This was one of the best transition sessions I have attended. The information was relevant, fairly easy to use, and the support given by instructors was amazing.”
“It was a great session that boosted morale and instilled a sense of independence, a ‘can-do-it’ attitude in the campers.”
