Camping Basics: An Indoor Adventure

At the Arc of Northern Virginia we believe that everyone should have access to recreation. Through the Arc2Independence app and our hands-on experience opportunities we aim to provide individuals with disabilities the lessons and experience they may need to get outside safely and confidently. Join us for this event where we will learn all about camping through discussions and interactive lessons, in the safety and comfort of an indoor setting. The topics we will cover include planning a trip, packing for a trip, how to stay safe, setting up and taking down a tent, building a fire, camp food, camp entertainment, and cleaning up after ourselves (in the outdoors). This event is open to all skill and experience levels ages 15 and up.
