48th Annual Community Challenge

June 6

The Arc of Northern Virginia’s Community Challenge brings together companies, community organizations, families and supporters for one of the region’s most spirited and meaningful community races. Participants form teams to raise funds that sustain programs, services and advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), while competing for bragging rights and glory along the way.

Runners can take part in the exciting 5K race, while those looking for a more relaxed pace can join the inclusive 2K fun walk or roll, an option designed to welcome participants of all abilities. For more than four decades, the Community Challenge has been a Northern Virginia tradition, featuring teams of 5–7 runners or up to 7 walkers who work together to support a great cause while enjoying friendly competition.

This year’s Community Challenge will once again take place at beautiful Burke Lake Park, offering scenic trails and a lively, community-centered atmosphere. Whether you’re racing to win, walking with colleagues or cheering from the sidelines, Community Challenge is a fun and meaningful way to connect with the community and make a lasting impact.
